Artist Interrupted: A Woman’s Art Collective
Ohio Conference Performance and Gallery at the Wild Goose Creative

We are accepting multi-disciplinary entries in both performance-based and visual art to be shown during our first annual conference at the Wild Goose Creative on May 20-21, 2011. The following guidelines are given to accommodate the various art disciplines. As this is a family friendly event, we ask that you consider the content of your work.

Visual Arts Guidelines
For all visual art entries, please submit the following:
- Up to 3 JPEG images 
- An artist statement
- Brief artist bio (125 words max) 
In addition, if you would like to propose an installation piece or any type of work that needs specific handling or hanging, we ask that you specify your needs. 

Dance and Choreography Guidelines
For all dance entries, please submit the following:
- An abstract (300 words max) that describes the content/theme of your piece
- The approximate run time, music, and number of dancers
- Brief artist(s) bio (125 words max)
Stage space measures 12’ x 10’. Therefore, we are looking for works that are easily transferable or created for these dimensions. As it is cement flooring, shoes or foot support is encouraged.

Music Guidelines
For all music entries, please submit the following:
- An audio file of the piece you will perform
- Brief artist bio (125 words max)
In order to accommodate the various arts in this intimate space, a piano will not be provided. We ask that you use a CD for accompanying your performance.

Writing
For all writing entries, please submit the following:
- Writing sample of your work (10 page max)
- Brief artist bio (125 words max)
Creative writers are welcomed to share their poetry, short story, play or excerpts from a book they have written, during our evening performance and/or choose to display their creative writing during the open gallery. Any type of work that needs specific handling or hanging, we ask that you specify your needs.

Media Art and Interdisciplinary Art
For all other art, please submit the following:
- A sample of the work you will perform/show during the performance
- Brief artist bio (125 words max)
Please list all material and/or equipment you will bring, so we may better accommodate your work . We will provide a white screen and a projector, but all other equipment, including extra cords will need to be brought in.
